Calfornia and a look back in time

We spent a week in California with Shawn's family right after Christmas. It was so fun! The weather was beautiful, the condo was great, the whole trip was very relaxing. We went to Disneyland, San Diego Zoo, Legoland, the beach, and shopping. We also did some sleeping in, some movie watching and just hanging out. We took lots of pictures, but the idea of posting them is too overwhelming for me to deal with. So here a a few and if you are interested in seeing all of our pictures, go here.
The beach was fantastic. A little cold for swimming, but very beautiful.

It was cold water, but the girls didn't care. They went wading anyway.

At the zoo I bet we got no less than 10 comment on Claire Bear's hair. My baby is so cute!

Syd, Brynn, and Katie next to our favorite panda bear.

The teacups were really fun. The girls just kept telling me "Faster, faster!"

We got to meet the princesses. Ariel is Syd's favorite and she couldn't even talk when she first saw her. Later she said "That was a dream come true!"

On a completely different note: We got my parents a slide scanner for Christmas. I have been scanning in some of their slides and have found some really cool pictures. Here are some of my favorites.

This is the gas station my dad worked at in the Tetons. It is where my parents first met.

This is our old dog, Willie. He always had one ear up, and one ear down.

My mom in 1973. She is 23. Isn't she gorgeous? And I love all her hair.

My sister Robyn. So cute! The dress she is wearing is hanging in Claire's closet right now.

Robyn again. (I have not gotten to any of the other kids yet). I think she looks like her son. Miles, in this picture.

My dad kissing my Aunt Connie while her husband, Mike, looks on. I wonder if he would do that now? :)

Very cute pictures. I especially like the one of the gas station--particularly since that is where your parents met--how special. You are doing a much better job at keeping up on your blog than we are! I like the new layout.

I also love the layout. I tried to make it MY layout... but somehow I am not smart enough. I ended up doing my own instead.

Also, we had so much fun being your roommates! We should do it always... I think our bed would fit four. ;)

And finally- yes, your mom IS a knockout! From what I can see, your dad wasn't bad either. No wonder they made such beautiful children. (Well, Robyn at least... ha. just kidding.) And I am super jealous of all that gorgeous hair!

Looks like California was fun! I love the old pics! What a cute baby I was...Miles does look just like me! :) I'm thinking your girls will look a lot like your baby pics so keep on scanning. Be sure to post the one of Mike all covered in mud after his roll in the garden! I can't wait to see more.

I am so happy you finally posted pictures from your trip. I am glad you had fun and the weather was nice. I still can't believe you didn't go to Sea World though.
Those old pictures are really great. Your mom is a hottie, isn't she? And now I know where Miles gets his looks! He and Robyn could have been twins, Crazy.

Ew. Gross. I just looked at that photo of me close up and I have a double chin. How dare you post that on your blog Mindy!

Ah... I'm jealous. What a fun trip to California. I really need a vacation from the Logan weather right now. A tan session may just do the trip to tide me over :>!

I love the pics you found from your parents.

Okay, so I'm crawling out of the labwork hole I've been in since we returned from San Diego, and trying to catch up on reading blogs, etc. I love the pics! I do have one question -- did everyone think that panda was as humorous as Katie and I thought it was, or did everyone think it was humorous how much Katie and I liked that panda?
