Just before Halloween we went on a retreat with my work. They invited the whole family and we got to spend the weekend hanging out. We went on a hayride, soaked in the hot tub, painted faces, went to Lagoon, slept and ate way too much. Fun to get away for a while.
I took Sydney on the white roller coaster at Lagoon. As we climbed the first hill she remarked that sometimes she gets scared of heights. She was too scared to scream the first drop but started to give an ear piercing shriek each hill after that. Halfway through she told me she wanted to get off. She told us that it was fun when it was over and "I NEVER want to do that again!"

How fun! I'm with Sydney on the Rollercoaster. Once is enough for me!
Too funny! I took my niece on one when she was just little. She made the same remark.
See you soon.

Shawn,
I thought petting zoo animals were supposed to be alive...that looked like a dead cow.
Sydney,
I'm afraid of heights too.
Brynn-
Yum! Can I have some of that s'more?
All I can say is it wasn't the most impressive petting zoo of all time. The living animals were much dirtier and less pleasant to touch than the sun bleached skull. The whole place was kind of the same. The hayride through the enchanted forest was like riding a hay wagon from the main part of Grandpa Howell's pasture to the easter tree and back. (Katie, Bart can explain to you how anti-climatic that is.) The pick your own pumpkin patch and the home-style meal both delivered in much the same fashion. It ended up being a lot of fun in the "so bad it is good" kind of way.
Okay those pictures are priceless! Lagoon looks like a lot of fun, I haven't been for 10 years!!
Sydney-you are more brave than your auntie.
